Usability

Usability is a core component of rightsumi. Without usability, a solution is… useless. Ergo, it is pretty freaking important.

Usability must be about more than just what is the statistically easiest way to get from point A to point B. It must embrace joy and delight in order to transcend the routine.

Pay attention to what your customers want, how they think, what they do when they are trying to use the sort of solution that you are presenting. You know about a million times more than they do about what your solution can do.

Try to walk a mile or two in their shoes. You must imagine what it is to be them, to be scared of new or changed features.

Consider:

Is there an easier, more natural way to do it? How can I learn if there is an easier and more usable way to accomplish what I want to have happen? Who can I observe to see actual responses and interactions?
